Boyd's Favorite Christmas Cookies

One year (not so very long ago, lest you think he was a little kids at the time) he ate so many of these little gems that he actually gave himself an upset stomach. The next year I decided to nip it in the bud, so to speak, and didn't make any of this particular kind of cookie.
"But. . .? Whadaya mean you didn't make any? Really? Are you just kidding me? You really didn't make any?"
And so I was in the kitchen at midnight making these for Boyd so as not to ruin his Holiday Experience of Over-Indulgence. This year I planned ahead. Eat till ya' bust, Boyd!
plus a gratuitous shot of Peanut and Bubbo for your Holiday enjoyment

White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies
2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 sticks (1Cup) Butter, softened
2 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 12oz. pkg. White Chocolate Chips
1 1/2 Cups Chopped Macadamia Nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large mixing bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Set aside. In separate bowl cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and blend until smooth. Add vanilla, mix well. Slowly add flour, mixing well after each addition. Fold in chips and nuts until all are incorporated.
Place dough by rounded tablespoon-full onto greased or sprayed baking sheet. (place 1" apart) Bake for 8 minutes, check for golden brown-ness on the bottom, but do not allow to brown on top. Remove to cool on wire racks.
